A workplace where no one feels caught short
RS Group is a global leader in high service product and solutions for industrial customers, but at the heart of their business is something deeply human. They want every employee to feel supported, valued and able to show up as themselves.
When they looked at their workplace period care provision, they realised their existing setup — outdated plastic dispensers filled with non sustainable products — no longer reflected the values they champion. RS Group is an organisation that pushes for innovation, that never settles for "okay", and that takes its ESG commitments seriously. They knew they could do better.
Championing change from within
This initiative began with the Elevate Women and Allies Network, led by the passionate and determined Samantha MacDonald. She and the Elevate team recognised that period dignity is a basic human right, not a luxury.
“We wanted to make sure no one at RS ever feels caught short or uncomfortable at work,” Sam explains. “Access to sanitary products should be a basic human right, not a privilege.”
Working with the RS Group sustainability leadership and marketing team, they built a compelling case for change, one that centred on dignity, inclusion and protecting the planet.
A sustainable solution rooted in care
To bring their vision to life, RS Group partnered with DAME to introduce a workplace period care solution that was both modern and meaningful.
Together, we installed 106 Eco Mini Dispensers across their sites. The Eco Mini is 3D printed from waste plastic, a detail that strongly resonated with RS Group’s environmental commitments. Lightweight and drill free, each dispenser fits seamlessly into the workplace while making sustainability visible in a practical, everyday way.

The dispensers were stocked with DAME's certified organic period products, giving RS employees free access to high quality, toxin free pads and tampons. Each dispenser also offers employees an automatic discount, making sustainable period care more accessible beyond the workplace.
Sharing the story with pride
RS Group did not just install dispensers. They championed the partnership proudly and publicly. Their marketing team crafted a powerful story on social media, featuring testimonials, reflections and a clear message about why period dignity matters.
Andrea Barrett, Chief Sustainability Officer, shared:
“I am delighted that we are partnering with DAME to offer RS people free sanitary products at our sites. This is a great example of how RS strives to empower our people, while supporting communities, protecting the planet and partnering with suppliers who have a shared ethos to make amazing happen for a better world.”Sam added:
“This initiative is more than just a practical solution. It is a statement of our values – doing the right thing and delivering brilliantly to make every day better. It is about dignity, inclusion, and making amazing happen together.”
Impact
Although it is early days, the transformation is already clear. Employees now have free access to sustainable, high quality period products whenever they need them. The dispensers serve as everyday reminders of RS Group’s commitment to its people and the planet. And by replacing outdated single use plastic dispensers, RS Group has taken a meaningful step towards reducing waste across their sites.
A partnership built on shared values
This collaboration shows what can happen when a workplace chooses to lead with empathy, sustainability and courage. RS Group set out to create a more supportive environment for their employees and ended up setting a benchmark for period dignity across the industrial sector.
At DAME, we are proud to support organisations like RS Group who believe that workplace wellbeing should be thoughtful, inclusive and accessible to all.
