Removing barriers at Home Park
Brunel Recycling, a family-run construction and recycling business in Cornwall, has donated 33 co-branded DAME dispensers and a year's supply of organic period products to Plymouth Argyle's Home Park. The dispensers went up in time for the last home game of the 2025/26 season, so free period care is now available to everyone at the stadium.
About Brunel Recycling
Brunel is a family-run business that has been operating for over 30 years. Based in Saltash, Cornwall, it works across the South West as a "one stop shop for construction", offering everything from muckaway to sweeper plant hire.
Its mission is to create a sustainable future by keeping inert materials out of landfill and recycling as much as possible into reusable products. That commitment also shows up in the community. Brunel has a long-standing partnership with Plymouth Argyle, and sponsors local sports clubs as community hubs.
Brunel first worked with DAME in summer 2025, when it sponsored a co-branded dispenser for its local rugby club, Plymouth Albion. The dispenser text set out Brunel's aim: to promote a culture of inclusivity and support for women in construction and sport by providing free access to eco-friendly period products at local community hubs.

Why period care in sport matters
Stadiums and sports clubs welcome thousands of people, yet period products are rarely stocked in their washrooms. For a fan who is caught short, that can mean missing part of the game, leaving early or feeling uncomfortable at an event they came to enjoy.
For Ellie, the issue is personal as well as practical.
"As a woman in male-dominated industries such as construction and sports, simple things such as sanitary products often get overlooked. Having access to free sanitary products shouldn't be a privilege; it should be accessible to everyone."

With women's football growing fast and more women attending matches, clubs need facilities that reflect everyone who walks through the turnstiles. Plymouth Argyle shared that view.

The solution
After the success at Albion, Brunel approached Plymouth Argyle in early 2026 about bringing the same setup to Home Park, with Brunel sponsoring the whole rollout. DAME then worked with both teams to plan a setup that would suit a busy League One stadium.
- 3D-printed dispensers for the women's toilets. A mixture of large and mini wall-mounted units cover the highest-traffic washrooms.
- Co-branded design. Each dispenser carries the Brunel and Argyle logos and a short message agreed with the club: "Need an assist? No one should ever be caught short, so please help yourself when you're in need." A QR code links to refills and TSS guidance.
- Refills on subscription. Organic cotton tampons and pads arrive every three months, so the dispensers stay stocked with no reordering.
- Sustainable by design. The dispensers are made from recycled plastic and go up without drilling, which suits Brunel's own mission of keeping waste out of landfill.
The dispensers were installed in April 2026, in time for Argyle's last home game of the season.
The impact
Home Park stadium now offers free period products across the stadium. They are there for supporters, staff, volunteers and visitors on matchdays, at conferences and at community events all year round. Argyle were delighted with the dispensers from the first game they were used, and the club shared the story on its own channels.
