Why Girlguiding?
Girlguiding and DAME share the fundamental belief that any girl can do anything. It was this belief that launched our DAMEchangers Innovation Camps, building confidence in teen girls so they can go out and make the change they want to see in the world. This partnership is a natural evolution, building on the past and expanding our impact.
Why is this important?
Girlguiding's essential Girls Attitude Survey of 2023 reported that girls are significantly unhappier now than they were in 2009. This decline is seen in boys too, but at nowhere near as an alarming rate. With the growing opportunities available to women, the pressures on girls seem to ever increase. There has therefore never been a more important time to take action, collaborate, and reverse this trend.
